Why Essential Oils

At Xēba Botánica, every candle is scented with pure essential oils — never synthetic fragrance. Essential oils are extracted directly from plant material: flowers, woods, resins, and herbs. The aromatic compounds they contain are the same ones found in the plant itself.

Synthetic fragrance oils are engineered to smell like a single note and hold that note consistently. Essential oils don't work that way — they layer, shift, and evolve as they burn, producing an aromatic complexity that can't be replicated in a lab. That behavior is exactly what we're after. It's also why the scents in our candles correspond directly to the scents in our parfum line: same oils, same blends, different medium.

What's Not in It

No synthetic fragrance. No paraffin wax. No lead or metal-core wicks. No artificial dyes.

Direction to use

On the first burn, allow the entire surface to melt before extinguishing — this prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
Trim the wick only as needed. Never trim shorter than 0.5 inches.
Avoid drafts, which can cause uneven burning and excess soot.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Burn on a heat-safe surface.

How long does shipping take?

What is your return policy?

All sales are final. We don't accept returns or exchanges on skincare and personal care products. That said, if your order never arrived, arrived damaged or defective, or you received the wrong item, we'll make it right with a replacement, store credit, or refund. Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Sensitive and acne-prone skin is the standard we formulate against. Our products are developed and tested with those skin types in mind.

Do your products contain synthetic fragrance?

No. We use only real essential oils or plant extracts for fragrance and therapeutic function. Synthetic fragrance is one of the most common hidden irritants in skincare, so we exclude it categorically.

Are your products vegan?

Yes. All Xēba Botánica products are plant-based. No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing.
