Desert Balm

The Desert Balm is our best-selling product for a simple reason: it works on the skin that everything else ignores. Hands that have been washed too many times. Feet that have seen too much sun and pavement. Elbows, knees, cuticles — the places that standard lotions touch and leave unchanged.

It's a dense, healing salve built on coconut oil, shea butter, and two waxes — sumac and candelilla — that seal moisture in and hold it there. The sumac wax gives it a smooth, velvety texture that absorbs without leaving a greasy residue. The plant-derived seed oil brings anti-inflammatory fatty acids that support barrier repair and calm irritated or inflamed skin, including eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

Our original scent is made with rosewood and clary sage — fresh, woody, and lightly citrus. Both oils are functional: rosewood protects against infection and supports healing; clary sage brings antibacterial properties effective for wound care.

Key Ingredients

Organic Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera): Hydrating, soothing, and fast-absorbing. High in antioxidants and lauric acid, which gives it natural antibacterial properties. Provides the balm's initial skin-softening effect.

Organic Sumac Wax (Rhus succedanea): A plant-derived wax that creates a moisture-sealing barrier on the skin's surface with a smooth, velvety texture — not waxy or heavy. The reason this balm holds moisture rather than simply adding it.

Organic Candelilla Wax (Euphorbia cerifera): Nourishes and deeply conditions. A vegan structuring wax that gives the balm its body and helps deliver the oils and butters into the skin.

Organic Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii): Deeply moisturizing without leaving residue. Rich in vitamins A and E, anti-inflammatory, and clinically studied for eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. Supports collagen production and helps minimize stretch marks and scars over time.

Organic Cannabis sativa Seed Oil: High in omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids with a ratio naturally compatible with skin's lipid balance. Anti-inflammatory, promotes skin cell regeneration, and helps treat atopic dermatitis.

Organic Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora): Antibacterial and wound-healing properties. Supports skin regeneration and helps protect against infection in cracked or broken skin.

Organic Clary Sage Oil (Salvia sclarea): Strong antibacterial properties make it effective for wound care and skin repair. Calming and balancing.
