Cucumber Hydrosol: The base of the formula — a meaningful choice over plain water. Cucumber hydrosol is naturally hydrating and high in antioxidants that protect the skin against environmental damage. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce redness and calm reactive skin before the actives are even absorbed.
Hyaluronic Acid: A naturally occurring molecule found in the body's connective tissue — it's part of what gives skin its structure and elasticity. Applied topically, it binds water to the skin's surface and holds it there, visibly plumping fine lines and improving skin texture. Also supports the production of collagen and elastin over time with consistent use.
Lactobacillus Ferment and Coconut Fruit Extract: A probiotic-based natural preservation system shared across the Xēba Botánica serum range. Protects formula integrity without synthetic preservatives while actively conditioning the skin.
Apple Cider Vinegar Extract: Balances the formula's pH — which matters for how effectively the other actives perform. Also provides gentle exfoliation, reduces hyperpigmentation over time, and stimulates circulation.
Xanthan Gum: Derived from fermented sugar. Gives the serum its consistency, helps retain moisture on the skin's surface, and keeps the formula stable between uses.
Yuzu Oil: A Japanese citrus oil high in vitamin C and antioxidants. Protects against UV-induced oxidative damage, visibly lightens dark spots and hyperpigmentation over time, and softens fine lines. Provides brightening and protective benefits without photosensitivity.

Lemon Balm Oil: Its strong antibacterial and antiviral properties make lemon balm an effective active ingredient for blemish treatment, wound healing, and inflammatory skin conditions, including acne.
Cape Chamomile Oil: Distinct from Roman and German chamomile, cape chamomile contains exceptionally high levels of ester compounds that give it powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Reduces swelling, redness, and reactive skin conditions. Nourishing, antioxidant-rich, and calming — one of the most effective essential oils available for sensitive and inflamed skin. It's also naturally a deep, rich blue — giving this serum its distinctive blue-green color.
