Parfum Oil

Most perfumes are built on synthetic fragrance compounds and alcohol — effective carriers, but not gentle on the skin or the body. Our Parfum Oil is different. Every note in every blend is an organic essential oil, carried in jojoba oil. We chose jojoba because it's the closest thing in nature to the skin's own sebum — it absorbs without residue, doesn't go rancid, and lets the scent develop on your skin rather than sitting on top of it.

We use organic essential oils — not fragrance oils, and not organic fragrance oils — because essential oils are what they say they are. A fragrance oil, even one labeled organic, is a formulated blend that can contain undisclosed aromatic compounds, carrier solvents, or synthetic fixatives — and brands aren't required to tell you what's in it. "Fragrance blend" on an ingredient list can mean anywhere from a handful to hundreds of undisclosed ingredients. Every Xēba Botánica Parfum lists every single ingredient, by its full botanical name, with nothing hidden behind a blanket term. Essential oils are single-source botanical extracts. You know exactly what you're putting on your skin. They also carry a complexity that synthetics can't replicate — because they come from a living plant, they contain hundreds of natural constituents that create real depth, nuance, and evolution as the scent wears throughout the day.

N°14 — Verdant Kindling + Warm Nectar. Palo santo opens, moves through neroli and honeysuckle, and settles into tonka bean, hay, and vanilla.

N°15 — Feral Petrichor + Viridescent Rind. Hinoki and mandarin over a deep base of oud and oakmoss.

N°19 — Hazy Blossom + Dry Root. Pink lotus and jasmine, grounded in frankincense and myrrh.

N°23 — Piquant Wood + Damp Earth. Black pepper and galbanum up top, settling into cedarwood, copaiba, and nagarmotha.
